Coaches and athletes agree that the mental side is very important for great performance. All coaches would like mentally skilled athletes and all athletes would like to be mentally skilled, but many lack the knowledge of mental skills training. Mental Skills and Drills for Athletes is for coaches and athletes that want to improve the mental game. It is designed to help the athlete and coach develop mental skills that take their game to the next level. Many books talk in theory and state the mental game in general terms. Mental Skills and Drills for Athletes provides foundational information that bridges the research and knowledge that is the basis of sports psychology with easy-to-use activities that can be implemented by the athlete or coach without a high knowledge of sports psychology.
